Our Horses

In 1995 Ron became interested in the sport of Reining.  The following spring he purchased a reining mare, Almosta Melody.  Her sire was the 1988 NRHA Futurity Champion, Mr Melody Jac, by Hollywood Jac 86.  Her dam was Almosta Ten by NRHA Hall of Fame Sire Great Pine.  In the fall of 1995 Almosta Melody (Mandy) was an NRHA Open Reining Futurity Finalist at the Quarter Horse Congress with Randy Fowler in the saddle.  After Ron purchased Mandy he set out to find a suitable sire to breed her to.  In the years that Ron has owned Mandy she has given him eight very nice babies, several which we still own and show.  The pictures below are of Mandy and each of her foals, and list each foals sire, and accomplishments to date.  Mandy will be 20 years old this spring and we are no longer breeding her.  This page is dedicated to Mandy and her offspring. As our herd grows we continue to add to the bottom of the page.

Other Members Of Our Equine Family

To round out our equine family we made a couple of purchases in recent years.  HAR Hesa Fancy Texan (Frankie) was purchased in early 2010 from good friends Tim & Miriam Farrell.  Frankie is sired by their stud Hesa Texas Cowboy.  They raise excellent quality performance horses and Frankie is proof of this.  This summer we also purchased another offspring of Hesa Texas Cowboy, Thatsa Cow Olena Gal (Leia).  Our intention is to use Leia as a broodmare to cross with our Lil Ruf Peppy stud but she is a nice mare and we would like to finish her training and get her in the show pen first.  Also pictured below is old man Murphy now 27 years young.  Cheryl has had Murphy since he was a 3 year old.
